So, you think you have finally found a great sales candidate to fill the role. There is interest on both sides, and the last thing you need to do is present the offer. Naturally, you want to provide a sales position offer that is enticing for the candidate, especially if they are a top talent or it’s for a high profile position within your organization.

How do you do it in a way that will frame it as a must-take opportunity? How do you close the deal and win the candidate? You could take the standard route of offering them the position over the phone and emailing them the details of the offering, or you can do it in a memorable and inspiring way.

Inspiring Tips for Presenting a Sales Position to a Potential Candidate

Want a candidate to take the sales position offer? Use these tips to truly win them over and get them to accept your job offer:

1. Present the Sales Position in Person

If you really want to show a candidate you want them to become part of their team, make the offer in person. Show them you care by taking time out of your day to meet with them. Bring the offer and set aside some time to go through it with the client. Being in person allows you to show your excitement and allows you to sell them on the position rather than having them review a paper offer.

2. Sell Them on the Big Picture

Sure, compensation, commission, and benefits are an important part of any job offer, but focusing on the big picture allows you to present a sales position in the best light. Talk about business goals, expectations for the role, company culture, perks, growth potential and how the organization will help the candidate advance their career.

3. Be Enthusiastic

People like being pursued. They like it when you make a big deal out of them, so do it. Be enthusiastic and show them you are excited to have them as part of the team. Make them feel like they are making a great career move. Get others involved and create a celebratory moment for them.
