Best Sales Recruiters

Companies looking for a sales representative should turn to the best sales recruiters: salespeople! Recruiting companies exist for all kinds of industry niches, but if you want to find a sales candidate who will crush their next quota you should turn to someone who has done it themselves to help you out.

Here are three reasons why salespeople make the best sales recruiters:

1. They have a better understanding of the requirements for the role.

Account Manager, Key Account Executive, Hunting, Farming… just like any other industry sales has its own key terms that must be learned before a candidate can be evaluated. A candidate may who has exceeded their quota for the last five years might seem like the perfect fit for your new role where they will be developing new business for your company, but how do you know that their past experience will translate into success for you? The cost of a sales hiring mistake can be great, so make sure you get some advice from someone who knows how to speak the industry language.

2. They can clearly distinguish a top rep from a mediocre one.

Lots of people get into sales because they are great at talking to people so they think they will make great salespeople. Some of these people do make great sales reps, but a lot of them speak well without selling anything. Having been in the field themselves, attending similar seminars and having received sales training, salespeople who become sales recruiters can easily spot a sales candidate who is faking their way through an interview on flash alone

3. Their network.

Having worked with plenty of salespeople in their previous roles, sales recruiters often have a vast network of top talent to go to immediately. They will already know of passive candidates who would be a great fit for your sales role that you would not be able to find through other recruiting channels.

If you’ve already found a few good candidates, make sure that you’re asking them the right questions. Take a look at these 10 Questions that you should ask all sales candidates before you make your next hire.
