1. A hiring increase:

Companies are expected to hire more in 2017. According to the LinkedIn survey, 56% of talent acquisition leaders (overall) plan to increase hiring volume, with sales being on the top of the list. This means that competition for talent will increase, and sales recruiters will need to be on the top of their game.

2. Recruiting automation continues to gain in importance:

Expect automated recruiting practices to become even more prevalent this year. “Data-driven recruiting helps recruiters save a lot of time and effort in reaching, screening and sourcing candidates. Moreover, algorithms and analytics can bring the best fitting candidates with a broader range of criteria,” says Yen Tran from 42 Hire.

3. Diversity matters:

“While workplace diversity (or the lack thereof) gained a lot of attention specifically in tech companies last year, increasing diversity became a mandate across all industry sectors,” says Ji-A Min on Business 2 Community. It’s not only companies that are focusing on diversity in 2017. Job seekers are also concerned about diversity and consider it an important factor when considering positions.

4. Mobile recruiting:

We all know that an increasing number of candidates are searching for jobs using mobile devices, including visiting recruiters’ mobile websites and applying for positions via mobile. Sales recruiters need to meet these candidates in the mobile space to capture this portion of the talent pool.

5. Sales talent rediscovery:
