Our client is in growth mode and they are in search for a high-quality Systems Sales Manager to continue expanding their custom machinery business. The Systems Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting new clients and developing innovative solutions, working in tandem with the engineering team. Target areas include robotic palletizing and case packing, conveying and bulk material handling as well as general plant automation. 
 
The successful candidate is a senior solution sales expert with a proven track record of selling custom automation systems. They are a proven sales professional that finds excitement in hunting and generating new accounts. They also have a deep understanding of technical sales and the process required to manage and close a big-ticket, sophisticated sales cycles.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience selling automation, conveying and packaging to the food industry
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, ability to manipulate simple drawings and complete layout work
  • Technically oriented 
  • Ability to perform in a competitive high pressure environment
  • Ability to self-motivate and meet or exceed projected goals
  • Ability to work independently when generating leads but as part of the team in generating solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities using available resources
  • Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests
  • Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales
  • Ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate customer information
  • Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity
  • Extensive local travel within the GTA/Niagara area
  • Occasional travel to the US/International
