Job Boards vs. Sales Recruiters

If you have relied on job postings, you may not be aware of the numerous benefits that your company can reap by working with sales recruiters.

sales recruiters vs job boardsWhen you are looking for qualified candidates, there are two main options: post the job on job boards or use sales recruiters. If you have previously relied on job postings, you may not be aware of the numerous benefits that your company can reap by working with sales recruiters. Since this industry does have a high turnaround, it makes sense to utilize a hiring process that reduces the amount of time you have to spend looking for the right candidate.

Targeted Results

When you post a job listing, you’re pretty much throwing out a line and hoping the right candidate is going to come along and see it. In most cases, you’ll end up with a few highly qualified candidates and the rest will be either completely new to sales, or the type of candidate that jumps around from job to job.

When you use sales recruiters, you’ll be assured of getting access to a talent pool that has already been screened. This is perhaps the best benefit that comes from working with sales recruiters, particularly if you need to place a high level sales position. Instead of having to wade through mediocrity, they’ll be able to provide you with a list of people who are well suited for the job.

Faster Turnaround

Sales recruiters can also improve the amount of time it takes from when a position opens up, to filling it. Instead of having to go through applications and resumes, then set up interview dates and go through that process, you’ll get a list of people who are qualified for the job and the sales recruiters can make recommendations on which candidates should go on the short list.

Not only does this improve the turnaround time and fill a vacant position faster, but you won’t be using your company resources for an extended period of the hiring process.

Better Screening

Traditionally, once you narrow down your resumes and top interview prospects, you still have to hope for the best that they’ll be the right fit for your organization. While you can utilize personality tests and skills assessments, there still are no guarantees that you’ve found the right person for the job.

With sales recruiters, they do much of the screening for you and their talent pool is going to be much more likely to provide you with talent that is going to be a good fit for your organization. You’ll have the initial phase of setting up your needs and explaining what you’re looking for, and then the sales recruiters will do the rest of the hard work for you. Time after time, working with sales recruiters produces the best and most qualified candidate for the position.

Testing the Waters

If you’ve never worked with sales recruiters before, now is a great time to give it a try. The key is finding the sales recruiters with the best reputation and the best talent pool who understand what you need. A short interview will be necessary to best determine your needs but once you’ve got a great one in your corner, you’ll be able to return to the well time and time again whenever a position opens up in your organization.

The vast majority of companies who try sales recruiters end up utilizing their services over and over for a reason. When you look at the benefits that working with a recruiter can bring your organization, and compare the resources that you would need to use to come to the same result, the best option is clear.
